Birthdays on the Road

I have a lot of vacation memories to share (and by that I mean to document for myself, and you all get to come along for the ride).  Two weeks worth of vacation makes for a lot of pictures and fun memories.  This was definitely one of our best vacations to WDW.  There were many reasons for this and I want to capture as much as I can while I still remember.

We had two very special birthdays that we celebrated in Florida.  Before we left we did a little family party with my parents since we'd be gone on their actual birthdays.

Then we were off to Florida.  And while we were at the happiest place on earth Charlotte turned two.  We celebrated the entire day, making it special by going to the water park - which is her favorite. Here are a few shots from her fun day.

I have to say that overall Charlotte did amazing on this trip.  She went with the flow, found lots of joy in just about everything and made the most of spending time with all of us.  It was a really special couple of weeks as a family.

Charlotte was really excited to where her buttons.  Of course within an hour or so we had to take them off because she was working hard at pulling them off and opening them.

And then after Charlotte's birthday we used our last week to celebrate with Addy.  Her 7th birthday was actually the last day of the trip, and so logistically we knew that celebrating that day would be a little bit of a challenge. So we built in some fun things all week long.  We started with a special night with Addy, Mommy and Daddy.  We got tickets to the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.  Our first stop for the party was a trip to the Pirates League where Addy got made up like a mermaid as part of her halloween costume for the night.

Her she is getting announced as a new mermaid.  This place was hysterical - the "pirates" were loud, rude and very funny!

Addy and her awesome Pirate friend that found her the very last treasure chest in the place!

Our first stop of the night was Addy's favorite ride - Big Thunder Mountain.  I think she rode it at least 4 times that night.

The park was decked out!  It was awesome.  They spooked out the castle, had trick or treating, and basically made it a big party all night long.  The ghosts were definitely out and about, Addy lost a flip flop on the Haunted Mansion - I continue to believe it was a pesky ghost.

We got to watch the spooky fireworks and parade.

Then we closed the week out with a princess breakfast at Epcot.  Addy had a really special time.

It was really fun to celebrate Charlotte's 2nd and Addy's 7th birthdays at Disney World.  Happy birthday to both of our very special girls.
