Wisteria Lane

We've got our own Wisteria Lane right here in Washington! The baby bunnies (now grown and gone from the nest) picked the big wisteria to settle under. While they were in residence, the wisteria bloomed.

We've already had one set of baby birds in the yellow bird house this spring. Now all we need is a goat and a pig and we'd have a farm around here with all the animals!

Handy Manny Comes to Visit

We've been very busy during the last week. Scott's Dad came for a visit to help us with some home improvement projects around the house. What a treat for us! We took some time off of work and really got a lot of things done. The week's crowning achievement by far was the garage. I am warning you these next images are shock and awe material (at least for those that are familiar with the normal state of our garage). We have an entire wall of shelving now, our 4 bikes are mounted on the ceiling, and we can see from one side of our garage to another!!!

The list goes on and on of the things we got fixed, put together, taken to the dump, etc. Of course, we managed to have some fun too. We took Papa D to the waterfront:

Addy kept herself cool while we worked in the garage by playing in the sprinkler:

And played safe by ensuring she had LOTS of sunscreen on!

Addy was pretty excited to hang out with Papa D. She did a little showing off while he was here:

Riding her bike . . .

Dressing Up . . .

Hamming it up while trying her first milkshake . . .

Thanks so much for coming and helping us!!!!
We love you and had a great visit.

The Office

Lucky for me, I have two wonderful co-workers/friends that have kids the same age as Addy. Little Savannah is about 8 weeks younger and then Tyson and Addy are within a week of each other. It is fun to share stories and sympathize with one another in the office. Today we got the kids together for a long overdue play date!

The kids had fun in the sun with the sprinkler. Tyson was having way to much fun picking up the sprinker and chasing us around. He thought it was so funny to get us wet.

They enjoyed the wagon a ton. Thanks Stephanie for pulling and pushing the wagon for so many turns around the driveway, street and yard. What a champ! Of course Addy and Tyson pitched in too. Princess Savannah had the right idea - let everyone else do the work.

And they loved to come in after a hard afternoon of play and watch the Wiggles:

The joke around the office is that although Addy and Savannah are really close in age and weight . . . Addy's feet are twice the size of Savannah's - literally - Addy is size 8 and Savannah barely a 4! Addy of course loved Savannah's fun shoes and here she is trying to shove her monster feet into Savannah's petite little shoes! Too funny!

So fun to hang out together:

Thanks ladies, what a blast!!

"Cheese" Face

Here are a few more of the Addy's "Cheeeeeeese" face.

Here she is multi-tasking by helping throw out her dirty diaper and making "cheeeeese" face at the same time.

And really from the heart . . .

Say cheese!

Out Back

We have a nice big backyard that sometimes doesn't get much use during the winter and rainy spring. The weather was so great tonight Addy and I spent all evening out back.

Here are some shots of my flower pots. I haven't had a chance to do many of them this year since the weather hadn't been cooperating. This is a start.

Here are some random shots of the yard in general.

Notice in the far back corner of the yard - that is the makeshift bunny protection.

We used Addy's outdoor playpen to put around the bunny nest. (Good idea Mom)

On Monday night we were saddened to find that three of the bunnies were killed by a cat. So, I had to spend the evening stringing chicken wire over the play pen to protect the remaining three from harm.

The nest is right on the ground under the leaves.

Here is a picture of one of the bunnies in the nest. SO CUTE!!

Addy had a blast playing with the hose ( I barely got the pots watered before she was all over it.)

Even The Rock got to come out and enjoy some sunshine. He likes to watch the birds and bugs. (He isn't allowed to visit the bunnies.)

And we had to take a break for some dinner and dessert. Like mother, like daughter . . .

That is chocolate in case anyone had any question! ( And yes, that is her swimsuit, for some reason she ran across it and decided she has to wear it around the house once we got back inside.)
