Tug of War

This is Addy and Biscuit's favorite pass time together. Addy runs around with the tug toy and screams at Biscuit to chase her and "tug me". And some times Cinnamon even joins in the fun. The best is when you get Biscuit onto the hard wood floor and she slips and slides around. It is great!

A girl and her dog - too sweet.

Happy B-Day

We celebrated Scott's birthday this week. Addy made a materpiece of a card and showed it off a little. (I guess that is what she is doing?!?!)

Scott got his dreamy coconut cake - which Addy was too busy picking the coconut off of to take a pic with Daddy.

Scott posing with his Pints & Quarts basket.

Happy Birthday, I love you Scott. May you have a adventureous and joyous year!

The Three Amigos

As always we had a great visit with Scott's parents last weekend. Poker games, bladderdash, pizza and lots of hanging out time. Thanks for visiting! (And sorry for the rough road home.)

Love you.

Week of Blues . . . and Joys

Addy has had a very difficult transition this week to daycare - as expected. Its been a long week in our household. Hope is still alive, she tells us she loves school and it appears that the initial drop off issues and terror are going away. (I hope and pray.)

But, the week goes on even in the midst of crisis. We celebrated St. Paddy's day by making cupcakes and a treasure hunt.

Addy trying out her green milk the pesky leprechauns left:

Little enjoying the treasure hunt:

Her new tea set she got from Grandma and Grandpa!

We also finished the overhaul of our bonus room that serves as our poker/game/guest room. Those that have visited this room before will be impressed with the clean-up effort. Its looking usable and downright hospitable. :)

Wish us luck in the coming weeks as finish off the transition.

The Gang

After repeated attempts this was the best I could do to get a picture of the gang. Gracie and Gavin came over to meet Biscuit and have dinner.

Four little silly monsters!

Shine it up real nice, turn it sideways . . .

What a great influence have I been on my daughter lately? Well take a look at this video.

And you get bonus points if you actually know where this is from and who said it!

Hint: This is all Jessica - and a blast from the past. Maybe I'll get her a Hulkamania shirt next.

What have we been up to?

An awesome dinner with friends - Chris, Todd, Sarah, and baby Linnea. We had a great time at the Japanese steakhouse. Addy loves the fire!

Scott and Linnea:

Addy's new favorite pass time is coloring with Elmo at Seasame Street's website.

Playing with Daddy:

And Biscuit has been a busy girl . . . playing in the yard (when it isn't hailing or snowing) taking much needed naps under the chair and looking too cute!

Have a great week!

Thank you

We knew this day would come and its the right time - but it doesn't make it any easier.

Today was Addy's last day with Brandy. She'll be transitioning to her pre-school care these next two weeks. Its very emotional for all of us because not only has Addy been a part of their family for the last two years, our families have grown very close. It has been such a blessing to us to see Addy grow to love Gracie and Gavin. And Addy's love for Brandy is obvious and unwaivering.

Brandy, Gracie and Gavin have sacrificed and given everyday to take care and love Addy. We are so grateful for their love and care. All parents know how important it is to have a safe and secure environment for your child. But when you find so much more then that - it is amazing.

Brandy has nurtured and cared for Addy in good times and tantrums, runny noses and tears, healthy and sick. We will always appreciate your dedication and support.

As I was selecting some pictures to include here I was once again reminded of how much joy we've had watching Addy grow with her second family.

Just a few of the wonderful memories:

From the bottom of our hearts - thank you for loving and caring for our precious Addy bear. We could not have asked for a more wonderful person to care for her these last two and a half years. We love you and your family very much!

Thank you.

Biscuit is here

Here are some fun shots from our first weekend with Biscuit. It has been a blast. A little tiring, but worth every yawn. I'll wait a couple of weeks to give all the details of Biscuit - she's so little and we're still getting to know her. She is so soft, very sweet, gentle and so far very easy going.

I am a little jealous, Biscuit has already made it clear - she is Addy's puppy. She follows Addy everywhere. Addy is a little overwhelmed sometimes, but she is learning to enjoy Biscuit.

Addy giving biscuit a kiss after brushing her.

We got to visit with our friend Chris and his new baby girl Taryn. Biscuit and Cinnamon, like Addy, we very excited to hang out with the baby.

And Addy learned how to ride her bike!

Sweet Addy!

It was a very fun weekend!! Thanks Courtney, Bill, Todd, Chris and Mom and Dad for coming by to visit us and Biscuit.
