WDW Part 2

I feel like there is just so much to include about our trip, that I can't really capture it all.  We sure had a wonderful time and enjoyed some great family time.  Addy got an adorable Minnie purse from Aunt Brandy and Uncle Jeff and she loved carrying it around the parks.

Traveling with a 14 month old is a challenge for sure.  Things just take more time and you have a lot of stuff.  But I wouldn't trade this trip for anything - Charlotte was amazing.  We just slowed the pace and worked with it and we all (Addy, Scott and I) enjoyed the time we all got together.  Addy was patient and helpful at every turn.  I do feel like I have a lot of lessons learned in traveling with such a young toddler - if you all need any help - I am happy to share.

We got so close the animals on the safari ride . . . it was spectacular.  We saw more animals this time then ever before.

I think this is my favorite picture from the trip.  One afternoon we went back to the room so Charlotte could nap (every other day she just napped on the go with us).  She was asleep before we got to the room and so Scott decided to just let her sleep on him once she got out of the carseat.  They passed out together for a good hour and a half.  It was adorable.

The last 4 nights we transferred to the Animal Kingdom Lodge and had a room overlooking the savannah below.  Throughout the day and night we'd watch zebra, giraffe, and all sorts of animals wander through.  Truly a great experience.

Charlotte started out biting Minnie but finished up loving the characters.  Especially the fuzzy animals like Marie below.  She would smile and giggle and hug them - even clutch at them if they tried to pull away.  When we went to see Marie the entire crowd was watching them interact.  Marie liked Charlotte so much she tried to walk off with us!

I love my husband's family - they were great sports and agreed to let me get matching shirts for all of us!!  Love it.  Its always been my dream to be one of "those" families.

Dale was another favorite character for Charlotte.  Isn't this precious!?

Giving Mickey's nose one of her awesome open mouth baby kisses.

After our last major dinner together!

WDW Part 1

We had a wonderful vacation in WDW!  The weather was amazing, we got to spend time with family and it was just a great opportunity for the four of us to spend time with each other while doing some really fun things!

I packed all wrong.  2 years ago it was super cold and so I packed a suitcase full of fleece that was not touched.  Except for the last day or two it was about 80 degrees and 95% percent humidity.  We sweated ourselves silly!  It was so nice to feel the warm sun for so many days in a row.  I will try to touch on highlights between this post and the next one I have coming.

One of our big special events was taking Addy to the Bippity Boppity Boutique.  The two of us had some much fun together.  They make it a really special experience.  Addy was so beautiful and she just glowed - you could tell she thought it was something really special.

Spending time with Scott's parents and brother's family was priceless.  Such a rare opportunity.  I feel like I really got to know my nephews and now have this great shared memories with everyone.

So this is day two I think.  I'll spend some time talking about our experience with Charlotte overall, but this is great.  We expected she'd be scared of all the characters like Addy was at 2 years old.  Charlotte is 14 months so we planned to keep her away.  Minnie had other ideas and came over to visit, you can see Charlotte is not thrilled.  About 10 seconds after this picture was taken she bit Minnie's glove.  It was so funny.  As the trip went on she really warmed up to the characters and by then end she was in love.  More to come on that.

Aunt Brandy and Ethan!

Charlotte loves Plumbly.  Whenever she gets a chance she wants an uppy from him.  And then within moments she's reaching for his glasses.  Look at that pickpocket!

We learned that Charlotte loves water.  At one of the park playgrounds they have a water wall and she couldn't get enough of it.

We did the World Showcase Adventure with Addy one afternoon and had a blast.

One evening we were hanging out at Downtown Disney and we enjoyed these great singers.

We went to the Grand Floridian to see the life size gingerbread house and enjoy a cookie.  Well Addy and I enjoyed our cookies.  Scott's cookie went to Charlotte. :)

We swam a lot - at the hotel pool and the water park.  These girls love the water.

Our first hotel has a pool party each afternoon.  We enjoyed dancing and playing games.  Addy and I did a scavenger hunt.  We got second place.  It was so much fun.  This is one of the great things that I love about the disney vacation club, the resorts have so many activities and events that you can spend your time at the resort and have tons to do.  Each night Addy and I went down to the community hall and did crafts with our friend LaGonda.  We brought back a ton of fun things we made.
