I've been trying to get a good shot of Charlotte's new hair cut. Its been a challenge. Charlotte's hair is still super wispy and hasn't totally filled in yet. I wasn't really sure what we would do if we got it cut, but finally we decided what the heck, lets see what we can do! Kim did a great job.

She looks cute a sassy - a good fit for my Charlie Bear. I might have cried - twice. She's growing up more and more.

A 7 year old room . . . at last
We started redecorating Addy's room about 6 months ago. Its been a long process. I think primarily its because I have two jobs. Its a killer. But after getting her new big bed about 6 months ago, painting about two months ago, we finally closed the deal and got all her wall decor and closet mostly done. She's happy with her new room. I of course didn't get pictures when it was totally cleaned up. But here are a few quick bad light shots.
I've had my eye on the black IKEA frame forever. I about jumped up and down when I found one on the clearance shelves the last time my mom and I were there. Three bucks with no mirror - perfect for what we wanted. Addy saw this same type of wall art in a pottery barn catalog for lots and lots of money. I managed to recreate it for $5. So much better!
I still have a fun curtain to hang around her reading chair, but its awaiting some ceiling work. (Hence the empty wall space there.) And her closet is just about finished - she has a really awesome jewelery table area, feeling a little jealous. :) I need to get one of those battery operated under the counter lights for her closet so it is easier to see. Its been a long, but fun process pulling things together that Addy had ideas about . . . she wanted something purple and girlie! But with some bold black for a little bit of attitude.
New (super bright for reading) lamp and dessert tray I got at a swap meet add some bling to the room.
This room is filled with places for her to hang her art work and pictures. There is lots of places to stash jewelry and trinkets - which makes her so happy. And most importantly we added more space for more books by cleaning out her book shelf on all the non-book stuff stashed in there.

Annual Pumplin Patch Trip
We had a blast on our pumpkin patch trip. Charlotte enjoyed it a lot and Addy and Lexy had a blast.
Charlotte took one look at the slide - yeah, the big slide - and it was all over. I think she went down it about a hundred times. She loved it.
We didn't actually bring home any pumpkins, slight oversight on our part. We were having too much fun.

WDW, My Last Post . . . Really!
This is it! I promise. Just a few last memories to capture.
Addy and Charlotte were so very good on this trip. Both of them did amazing traveling, checking out parks, and trying tons of new things along the way. Even in the face of crazy schedule changes, mishaps, etc. they just kept it together and moved on. Such a great trip with them. I sure love the two of them and am so thankful we were blessed with them.
It was so much fun to spend quality time with Scott's parents. We got lots of fun park time with them but also some really fun down time just hanging out.
You know you have serious disney fans when even waiting in line for the park opening is a fun time. Its really fun to watch the excitement build and surge as the gates open. Addy is totally into it.
Another huge highlight was that we went to Universal this trip and we got to experience the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It was really amazing and fully met my expectations.
The Harry Potter ride was phenomenal. I got totally sick on it, but it was worth it to get to experience it. Everyone loved it. Addy rode it twice and raved about it.
Addy was so patient and thoughtful toward Charlotte - I am constantly amazed at how well she does. Sometimes she definitely gets the short end of the deal and she rarely gets upset. We seemed to find the right balance between finding fun activities for everyone and getting to spend quality time throughout our time.
I love this picture! So much fun.
Addy got to drive the boat on the Jungle Cruise - definitely a great memory!
Photo bomber!
