Happy Independence Day

The 4th dawned pretty and bright - highly unusual for these parts.  The sun welcomed us to celebrate this special day!  Red, white and blue it was!

We hit the Tumwater parade with our friends!  I took the kids by my new office so they could see the cool frog pond and rock chairs.

Lovin' this silly photo!  Gavin looks too cool!

Getting ready to watch the parade.

Look who is Brandy's bestie now?

The required hot cocoa's for the parade.  This was about 30 seconds before Addy's whipped cream slid off and onto her lap and chair.

The hubster!

Back home for some water play.

BFF's.

Blueberry lemon cupcakes with lemon zest frosting - these were pretty yummy!

Look at this sweetie - in her 4th of July dress.  (Same one as Addy.)

Dinner is served . . .

Right before the parade Addy lost one of her top front teeth.  She was totally laid back about it.  And now she looks so cute with her missing tooth spot.

Thank you - to all those that serve and have served to keep us free and safe.  I was choked up during the parade as we had the chance to honor many of those that serve in so many ways.  Sometimes I get caught up in the party planning and lose sight of what we celebrate each year on the 4th, and that we still have to protect it.  It was a great reminder to me to watch our soldiers in the parade.
