The Visit

We got a special welcome home tonight.

A little leprechaun had come to visit us. He left a trail of shamrocks on the walkway.

And silly, sparkly, flowers in the front bed.

And a little trail of shamrocks on the old chair leading right up to . . .


A silly St. Patrick's Day gift for Little.



Tricky leprechaun . . . we'll have to be on our guard tomorrow.

Falls Day

It was a beautiful, blustery, sprinkling, spring day in O-town at the Falls.

Brunch with My Ladies

Last weekend two of my very best friends came over to have brunch. It was so fun to catch up and share our kids with one another.

Breakfast for everyone first. A little play time too!


Then off to the park for fun in the sun:


These two shots are the best, all the kids are marching in a line up to the slide:


After a little while Addy and Kayla really warmed up to one another and spent the entire time at the playground following each other around.






I was proud of Addy for being brave and trying to cross this bridge. She even did it by herself a couple of times.

It felt like medicine for my soul, to be there with my two very great friends and seeing all our little ones running together! My, how good life can be.

The Zoo and New Exploring

We hit the zoo on Sunday and also did a little new exploring of Washington by hanging out around Pt. Defiance a bit. What a beautiful spot.

The Exploring Begins

I just love this picture. Love. It.

We went to Hello, Cupcake in Tacoma to try their cupcakes. I was quite disappointed with the cupcakes myself, they don't hold a candle to St. Cupcake. (Still the best cupcakes - ever!) But, Addy didn't seem to mind. She was quite enthralled with her cupcake. Milk - check. Cupcake crumbs - check. Hanging in your skivvies and eatin' cupcakes on the kitchen counter - check!

The Big Girl Room

Finally, Addy's new room is done . . .

We've already had to move the bed back after trying it out in a new place. That didn't work for Addy, so it is back in its original place and Addy is sleeping a lot better now. :)

I tried to make a lot of things for the room:


I stole this idea from a pottery barn catalog.


I love how big and fun these letters turned out.

But the inspiration for her room came from her new bedding! I love it. It is all girl with cupcakes, birds, flowers, pink, yellow, green and purple.

My Mom came up with the brilliant idea of these butterflies over the window.

Addy seems to approve overall!

We took down all the ocean life wallies and put up flowers and butterflies instead.

The wall decal "Sweet" with cupcakes under it, was the most stressful part. I was sweating when I pulled the paper off - please work!

Mission accomplished! Thanks Mom for helping me remove the wallies, put the new ones up and hang everything up! This room was put together with a lot of love.
