The Fair

Tonight we hit the Thurston County Fair with the Pelton's - too much fun! All had a good time and we left with prizes, fish and great memories.

We ate good!

Everyone had a blast riding the rides! (Check out the joy on the faces.)

I love this silly photo of Addy and Daddy! My two favorite people!

We pooped out before we got to the animals - maybe next time.

Mommy and Addy

Last weekend Addy and I got silly and took a bunch of photos. Addy thought it was great to take a picture and look at it over and over. So we sat on the floor for almost an hour taking pictures of ourselves and the puppies and kitties. Way fun!

And Addy decided it was time to sit in the big girl chair, so she is transitioning out of her highchair. Its about time, since her legs dangle past the foot rest at this point. :)

Little is always watching out for Elmo. Here she is giving Elmo a drink and kissing Elmo.

So cute!

"Furts" and "Burries"

Addy got invited to go next door and pick some raspberries. I couldn't pick them fast enough for her liking. I couldn't keep any in the bowl because she ate them so fast. Then she moved on to picking them and eating them herself. She thought that was great!

We also built a fort this week. Addy enjoyed that a lot. She liked to bring aElmo in the fort to go nigh-nigh.

Furts and burries are so fun!

The Gambler

You gotta know when to hold'em, know when to fold'em . . .

Know when to walk away and know when to run . . .

HEY . . .

. . . DON'T SPLASH THE POT!!!!

Sneaking Around

Addy is getting so tall she can reach and see into all the drawers. We stopped letting her have pacifiers all the time a looooong time ago, but she found the drawer in the kitchen where we keep them, so every time we aren't looking she helps herself. We turn around and there she is, with her little friend.

I think its time to move some things around or lock some of the drawers!

Fun in the Sun

Nothing like hot weather and a great water fight to make a weekend fun! Gracie and Gavin and our neighbors Trenton and Damon joined us.

The kids didn't waste any time getting into a battle on the front lawn. (Scott was just there to ensure that everyone was okay of course.)

After the fight there was fun inside, check out the divas hangin' out.

And this is just a cute shot of Little in the Hawaiian dress Scott brought her back when he went in Janury.

Enjoy your sunny week!

Happy Birthday

We celebrated my Mom's birthday this weekend. It is always special to take a moment and reflect on those you love. I love you Mom, I couldn't ask for a more caring, thoughtful, and wonderful Mother and role-model. I aspire to be a mother to Addy like you have always been to me.

Love you!

COOKIES

My friend Courtney has the BEST recipe for cookies! They are the perfect cookies. (I have tested them, so I can speak with authority.) We made a batch this weekend - chocolate cherry chip and they were awesome! Courtney's blog includes the recipe to these wonderful creations. I give her all the credit! We did cupcakes at the same time, and as usual I was so busy talking that I failed to actually follow the recipe and they turned out kind of silly. Oh well! We sure had a blast!

Try them out and be amazed. And don't hesitate to make them big, that is how they turn out just like mall cookies. Thanks for sharing Courtney and coming over to hang! See you at the table!

Weekend Blast

What a fun weekend! It seems like we did so many different things.

Of course our 4th celebration deserves some documention and because it this is at least in part a Todorovich household food will play a big part of the story! (Sorry for those that aren't part of my family and don't enjoy detailed accounts of food prep and eating. Although, I think you are kind of weird.) And lets be clear that Scott played the central role this weekend!

Addy got decked out in her 4th of July dress her Grandma and Grandpa T. got her. And this is the same dress she wore (different size) last year:

Last year . . .

This year . . .

Addy got a new play set (thank you Jeff and Brandy) that my parents helped set up for her when she got up from her nap on the 4th.

One of Scott's dreams is to make great BBQ ribs, and I am proud to say he accomplished that this weekend! Check out the perfection in this picture documentary of the 7 hour process!

The rub:

After round one in the smoker, getting ready for round two:

Basting on the grill:

And dinner time:

We had to do a few fireworks (okay, not really - smoke balls, pop-its and snakes) but Addy loved them all the same.

As soon as we did the first snakes she wanted to find out what else she could try out.

Smoke balls were a big hit.

Saturday we woke up and got ready to hit the town, Little was all packed up for a day out.

We went to Barnes and Noble and saw Peter Pan. There is a picture on the Olympian's website. (Middle or second picture is Addy.)

Addy and Peter Pan

Chuck E. Cheese came next. Thankfully I forgot the camera or I'd be blogging all night! Addy enjoyed her first time there.

Saturday night we had some friends over to play board games and as they left at 11:00pm we found a lost puppy. So, Miss. Flower stayed the night with us and we were able to reunite her with her owner this morning! Yeah!

And the weekend ended with Addy trying out her new bubble mower - could it get any better!?

Have a great week!
