Weekend Blast

What a fun weekend! It seems like we did so many different things.

Of course our 4th celebration deserves some documention and because it this is at least in part a Todorovich household food will play a big part of the story! (Sorry for those that aren't part of my family and don't enjoy detailed accounts of food prep and eating. Although, I think you are kind of weird.) And lets be clear that Scott played the central role this weekend!

Addy got decked out in her 4th of July dress her Grandma and Grandpa T. got her. And this is the same dress she wore (different size) last year:

Last year . . .

This year . . .

Addy got a new play set (thank you Jeff and Brandy) that my parents helped set up for her when she got up from her nap on the 4th.

One of Scott's dreams is to make great BBQ ribs, and I am proud to say he accomplished that this weekend! Check out the perfection in this picture documentary of the 7 hour process!

The rub:

Putting the ribs in the smoker:

After round one in the smoker, getting ready for round two:

And dinner time:

We had to do a few fireworks (okay, not really - smoke balls, pop-its and snakes) but Addy loved them all the same.

As soon as we did the first snakes she wanted to find out what else she could try out.

Smoke balls were a big hit.

Saturday we woke up and got ready to hit the town, Little was all packed up for a day out.

We went to Barnes and Noble and saw Peter Pan. There is a picture on the Olympian's website. (Middle or second picture is Addy.)

Chuck E. Cheese came next. Thankfully I forgot the camera or I'd be blogging all night! Addy enjoyed her first time there.

Saturday night we had some friends over to play board games and as they left at 11:00pm we found a lost puppy. So, Miss. Flower stayed the night with us and we were able to reunite her with her owner this morning! Yeah!

And the weekend ended with Addy trying out her new bubble mower - could it get any better!?

Have a great week!
