Baby Noah!

When we told Addy she was going to get to see a new baby today, Addy was set on looking pretty and taking her Elmo Hokey Pokey book. She took it with her and showed it to everyone at the hospital. (And I mean everyone, including the Christmas tree inside the baby center doors, each nurse we passed and the monitoring machines that were in the hallway.)

Congratulations Geoff and Crystal! Beautiful baby Noah was born on Saturday, November 29th.

Its beginning to look . . .

We (okay, I) did some decorating this weekend. Starting with a little Christmas pj outfit I got on Black Friday. She wore this literally ALL weekend, definitely her new favorite article of clothing. (She really isn't sad, just intent on the Mickey Christmas cartoon on the TV over my shoulder.)

And here is a sentimental picture. This is the Christmas tree my mom made for me when I was little. I wanted a pic of Addy in front of it. Still one of my favorite decorations for the holidays.

Looking a lot like Christmas around here!

Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! We had a great holiday with friends and family. We hosted for the first time ever. It turned out well! I was so happy. Thanks to the Pelton's and my parents who helped with the food.

On Thursday morning we still had an empty dining room thanks to some carpet issues we were were having. Furniture was all over the house. But we managed to get the room back together and set for the big event.

Of course there was the "big game". The Peltons are (groan) big Cowboys fans so all were looking forward to the game. Turned out to be rather boring, but we got some Madden Wii in too.
The kids had a ton of fun!

The food was great and the time spent with friend and family was the best part! (I am happy to report unlike two years ago, my pie did not stick to the pan this time!)

Addy saying "Happy Thanksgiving" to everyone at dinner.

Hope you all had a very happy holiday!

The Park and the Pain

We had a great time at the park last weekend. Addy was all ready to go in her new fall hat. (Trish, Aaron and Rhema - notice her new Dora phone - thanks, she loves that it says her name.)

Then this week things weren't quite as fun. Addy dislocated her elbow (a common occurance known as Nursemaid's Elbow in 2-3 year olds). Poor thing, the doctor couldn't get it back in the day it happened so Addy spent about 24 hours like this. She couldn't move her left arm at all, and refused to walk or move around. (It is hard to only be able to eat with only one hand.)

We were so thankful on Wednesday when the doctor tried again (for what felt like the millionth time, probably only the 6th or 7th) and it worked!! Addy was back to her old self - look mom, two arms!

Thanks for all the help this week with Addy, appointments, and prayers!

Face Off

I have noticed a reoccuring theme in some recent photos. Can you guess?

Blackberry french toast.

Chocolate ice cream. (Like mother, like daughter.)

Gray marker.

Spaghetti.

Clearly like father like daughter. :)

Ramblings

Just a couple of random things to share. Addy got a craft kit for her birthday from her Aunt Brandy, Uncle Jeff and cousins Ethan and Luke. Here are a couple of her creations. Thanks for the great gift.

I love Addy's sense of style. Here she has my shoes on, note two different black shoes. And one heel and one flat. Very fashion savy!

Finally this is a cute picture of Addy and her friend Wyatt.

And finally a note for those born to rock like me. As a few of you know, I am a rocker at heart and in the last couple days I have been propelled back into my big teased hair, tight jeans and headbangin' days. I have rediscovered all of my favorite hair band videos on youtube. I won't even tell you the embarassing amount of time I have sat in front of the computer watching these videos.

I still stand by my man - Nikki Sixx is still the best! Crue forever! (Great memories right everybody - remember my walls in my bedroom??)

Disney Finale

Just to finish up our Disney trip . . . a few more fun shots and stories.

A number of attractions were 3-D and required glasses. I was worried Addy wouldn't know what to do with the glasses and get bored. Not at all, I think they were some of Addy's favorite rides, particularly the muppets.

We took a boat from our resort to Downtown Disney and Addy had a great time.

A few more character meetings. Addy really loved all the Pooh characters. She still talks about them.

It happened that the Pelton's were there at the same time as us, so we met up on the last day. Addy was sooooo excited. She missed her cousins and she was so happy to see the Peltons. She ran around and around in circles screaming and clapping. It was too cute.

This is probably one of my favorite memories. This is Scott and Addy on the Goofy rollercoaster - this girl is fearless. She giggled and laughed with joy for the entire ride.

The group with the Cars:

One of Addy's favorite rides, Cinderella's Carosel:

The Cousins:

One of the most memorable parts of the trip for me personally is getting to spend some quality time with Taylor. We got to write stories together, go on adventures and hang out. Taylor would sometimes ride with us. Addy and Taylor decided to ditch Scott and I am take their own trip together.

And finally, the had a play house disney show there and Addy was in her element. Pooh, Einsteins, Handy Manny, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse . . . wow. Here is Addy doing "blast off" in front of Rocket.

Thanks again to Chris, Tara, Taylor, Trevor, Rylee, Grammy and Plumbly for a great time!

So long Mickey - we'll see you real soon!
