Addy has really been growing and changing in the last few weeks, it has been a true blessing to watch her. Thought I might share a few of my favorite things:
Addy loves to direct you - she will pat the couch or the floor and tell you in a very direct manner "sit down". We are trying to help her add on a "please".
When putting clothes on her she can say "sh*t" - which means shirt and when you say pants, she always responds "me". So it goes like this:
Jessica: "socks"
Addy: "sos"
Jessica: "shirt"
Addy: "sh*t"
Jessica: "pants"
Addy: "me"
Addy came home Wednesday night with a new favorite saying "I don't like it". She uses it ALL the time. Even when she is excited and wants it she says "I don't like it."
Addy's dancing has evolved from arms swinging and knee bending to stomping. That's right, it is like we have a little hillbilly on our hands. She really stomps her foot when music starts.
Elmo! Elmo! Elmo! All of a sudden this kid can't think of anything but Elmo.
Addy loves to play nigh-nigh. This is a highly evolved game that involves you laying down and closing your eyes and then getting hit and screamed at by Addy - which is her lovely wake up call. She loves it and laughs herself silly each time she pounds on you! Then she immediately orders you back to nigh-nigh so she can hit you and scream at you again. So fun!
If there was one food that is Addy's favorite (you'd think it was everything because the girl won't share to save her life and god help the poor dogs, if they come within 2 feet of her when she has food she yells "no-no-no" at them and tries to kick them away) it is WATERMELON! The girl can eat an entire one on her own, if you don't replenish quickly enough once the pink is gone on her piece, she'll just start hacking into the green.
Addy is miss independent and will fight you every step of the way if you try to help. Of course, she'll then say "help" and look at you like you are so mean for not helping when she is done trying to do it herself.
Addy loves to help water the plants and her feet and your feet. She loves to help feed the dogs and always blows on the food and tells the puppies "is hot". She is an ace at emptying the dishwasher and loves to carry laundry all over the house.
Last week Addy fell out of her crib in the middle of the night! We were freaking out. I was worried she'd have to go to a toddler bed but it hasn't happened since. I think she really did fall and wasn't attempting to climb out. She didn't enjoy the fall and so hopefully that won't be happening again.
Addy loves to get kisses and hugs before bed and is very generous with her affections all the time!
These are just some of the things we love about Addy Bear!
