Happy Easter To All

We had a lovely Easter holiday. We woke up early to be sneaky and bring some Easter cheer to the Peltons. While they were at Mass we decorated their house and left our present.


Then on to Grandma and Grandpa's house.

The egg hunt started before Addy even got her coat off.

Wow! Look at that stash . . .

A great morning hanging out. Oh, and check out Addy. She is looking pretty guilty isn't she hiding over there in the corner.

I realized she was quietly sneaking her Easter eggs, opening them up and eating all the candy while the rest of us weren't paying attention. Very tricky!!

History

I was just thinking as I did the last post, this was Addy's third year at the hunt with Wyatt. A couple of interesting things to note.

1) My how Little is really growing up:

At 18 months, all wonder and joy, maybe an egg or two that Mommy helped pick up.

At 2.5 years, proud of her small basket of eggs. Looking all innocent and sweet.

And at 3.5 years, flying around the course - grabbing a whole basket of eggs herself. Looking very chic bohemian in the outfit she artfully tossed together herself for her big day at the hunt.

2) And then there is the interaction between Wyatt and Addy. As little ones, we tell them give a hug and here they are hugging it out.

At 2, here they are holding hands . . . aahhhhh, so cute!

And at 3 years, here they are . . . we were lucky to get them in the same photo.

We are lucky to have friends like the Murphy's to share these memories through the years. Imagine what next year will bring . . .

A WHOLE LOTTA EGGS

The field was set at Tumwater High School. The kids were ready! 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

GOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Check out the stash of eggs Wyatt and Addy collected. Sadly this was an attempt to get them to pose together. 2 was so much easier then 3, last year they just stood by each other.

2 minutes later the field was bare. The eggs were gone. But we will be back again next year.

From AZ with Love

Scott's parents visited us last weekend. We had a wonderful time like always! They came with gifts for Little. How cute is this Daisy Duck, hand made by a co-worker of Nancy's!! Thank you so much!!!


Grandma and Grandpa made an Easter tree for us and Grammy, Addy and I finished the final decorations.
We spent a fun-filled day exploring Seattle.









Poor Little was tired by the end of the day. Here she is at Red Robin trying to stay awake to watch Scooby on Scott's phone. She ended up with a temperature by the end of the day and was sick the rest of the weekend.

Grammy kept our sick girl company on Sunday.

St. Patrick's Day

I forgot to finish out St. Patrick's week . . . On St. Patrick's Day we arrived at home to find even more decorations. Balloons, signs, streamers, oh my! And some goodies from the little green guys for Addy.


Addy was hamming it up with her new hat and the face painting she got at school.



But took a moment to do some serious coloring on her new poster.


But all good things must come to an end and the night ended with an hour long tantrum when I took the paint off her face for bed. Wow! Funny looking back how vivid the tantrum was . . . where are those little green guys when you need them??

Aaron and Rhema came over a little bit ago to make easter eggs. The girls did a great job, lost interest and wanted to play, play, play. What a blessing that these two have each other - years of fun to come!

I am so behind and I have so many things to post. I will start with one little picture.


Addy took this picture of our beautiful girl Biscuit. Isn't she pretty? I love her big melty, brown eyes, her dark coat and very light fringe. Her head is baby soft and she loves to be part of the family. Sometimes she is a bit overwhelming in her excitement - especially with guests . . . but she is a big lovely girl!!
