Prince True Heart

Addy just completed her second play this weekend.  Her school program did Sleeping Beauty and she played the role of Prince True Heart. For the second time she was cast in the role of a boy.  Both times she did a great job and it was magical to watch her.  The first time it was hard for her to come to terms with being a boy character, but this second time she was all over time.

She does pretty well with the memorization.  But what is really nice is to see her starting to get more comfortable putting some style into her work.  It doesn't show on stage much yet, too many nerves, but I hope as she grows in her comfort level she will feel strong about sharing it with the world.

I was so proud watching her on the stage.  And hearing her talk for all the rehearsals leading up to the big night, about her friends and working together to make it all happen.

One thing that is so great about the cast is that many of them are Addy's closest friends.  Look at how sweet they all are!  Rhema did a lovely job on her solo.

And the prince defeated the evil fairy and wakes up his true love.

Bows

And the grand wedding exit.  Addy looks like she is barely holding in the laughs.

The big finale - with the sprinkler and all.

I am extremely proud of the person Addy is . . . she is thoughtful and caring, loyal to her friends and passionate about learning.  She cares about the world and her impact on it.  Prince True Heart was a great role for her.

Its a tough life

I walked by the kids room and caught this picture:

She is such a character.  After her bath I put her in her jersey and she kept walking around saying "Seahawks" with her fist in the air.  She is the apple of her daddy's eye!

3rd Annual Pancake and Pajama Party in Pictures

We started with a yogurt bar this year.  Melody made this adorable grape caterpillars for us!

Then in was time for photos!  These girls are so very cute and sweet.  I love them and their hearts of gold.

And then it was time for lots and lots of pancakes.

Such great friends . . .

We did some beading after breakfast.

And don't think its just the little girls that can have fun!  It was a great morning with the ladies!

We finished up with the brownie batter - a new recipe from here.  This was really, really, really good!

We tried pretzels, graham crackers and animal crackers with it.

Charlotte

Feels like its time for an update on the kids.  I am going to start with Charlotte since she's on my mind tonight.  While Addy was at dance on Tuesday, Charlotte and I had a Mommy and Charlotte playdate that included puzzles, coloring, blocks, kitchen and some quality time watching the clothes in the washing machine.

Just looking back I am not sure any of us could really imagine life with Charlotte.  Here's Addy measuring my tummy.

And here she is . . . what a doll.  She was the such an easy baby.

Charlotte was always up for adventure . . . even from an early age!

And she's perfected the "look".

And she's always done really well at making messes.

Its funny because at times Addy feels like Charlotte doesn't like her.  But she doesn't realize just how much Charlotte loves her and looks up to her.  She imitates her, follows her, asks about her, and although she likes to take things from Addy and hit her sometimes, she really wants to be just like her!

Charlotte is always moving - seriously.  ALWAYS.  For example, this is how she "watches" TV.  Can't recall how she ended up without her shirt, but she is always moving or climbing somewhere.

Charlotte doesn't walk very often.  Going between one room to another its at a run.  She rarely says anything quietly - she normally shouts everything.  Sometimes joyfully and sometimes with major attitude.

I love this next series of pictures, it captures my baby in motion.

A short pause to check out Addy's Scooby Doo door hanger.

But not for long!  Charlotte loves to jump, dance, run, walk fast, play, throw things and chase.  Charlotte is growing taller and has remained much thinner as a toddler then her sister.  Some of Addy's clothes just don't fit her yet.  (By the way, check out the adorable print on that shirt above.  By far my most favorite clothing Charlie has - so sweet!)

This is Charlotte's pure joy face.  Most often seen when she is running wild.  Or when she gets a playdate with Grandma and Grandpa.  A couple of her most favorite things right now.

Charlotte is full of adventurous spirit and fun.  She loves Dora and Little Einsteins.  She's not gotten into coloring, but loves puzzles and playing with balls.  Everyone that runs into Charlotte ends up laughing because she is a big personality.  She can sing her ABC's, identify some letters and her numbers. and has the arm of a pitcher on her.

Our little Charlie girl is growing up right before our eyes.  She is the apple of her sister's eye and makes us on laugh and sigh on a daily basis.
