Pen Attack

I got home from work on Thursday and realized I forgot to send an e-mail I promised to get out. Addy and I had a talk and she promised to help me out by coming into the den and playing nice for 5 minutes.

She was so perfect. Quiet . . . not trying to hit the computer keys, not trying to run off with the guitar . . . I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER.

These pictures don't begin to show the damage done in 5 minutes. She had pen on her face, neck, hands, arms, legs, feet (yes, she went to the trouble of taking off her shoes and socks to mark on her feet) toes, back????, and stomach.

She was so excited! I was embarrassed to show her to Scott!

The pen incident of 2008 . . . :)

Hands on and Hands on

Wyatt and Addy met up at the Hand's On Museum and had a blast.

They watered the garden:

Managed the sound buttons for the stage show:

And worked together to get the puppy fed:

Addy had a very big moment, on her own she decided to share with this little girl:

It was a good time.!

After dinner Addy and Wyatt gave each other some loves. Check out this embrace. Too funny!

It is like Gone with the Wind.

The Beach

Last weekend while Scott was busy, my Mom and Dad went with Little and I to the beach. It was a blast. Washingon beaches aren't like Florida, California or Hawaii. It is never hot, rarely clear and always full of character. I love it.

Here are some shots from the trip. I even put in a couple of black and white ones for fun.

Learning that sand is fun! 6 months ago in San Diego Little hated the sand.

Addy has always loved the ocean. She is fearless, racing into the water and running and jumping the waves.

Grandma and Grandpa brought an Elmo kite. Add loved the kite and the long tail.

Making a mess and loving it:

Taking a break on the lounge chair:

Addy keeps asking for "Elmo kite". She definitely thought that was one of the best parts of the day. She also entertained Grandma in the back seat with some toe sucking.

And finally . . .

What a day!

Socks Rock

Addy is very into her socks. At night we have to find just the right socks for nigh-nigh. Addy's new favorite socks, finally ousting the quack-quack (ducks) socks are:

"Halo Kitty" socks!!

Addy loves her "halo kitty" socks and runs around pointing them out to everyone!

The good and bad of Chicago!

The Chicago Bears didn't look so good on the field tonight against the boys in blue, so thank goodness Chicago looked a whole lot better in the kitchen!

Scott has been dying for a real chicago style hotdog and so he special ordered all the necessary and hard to find items. Tonight my parents and I were treated to the good side of Chicago.

They were great! It helped make up for having to watch the Bears on TV. :) I only lay it on a little thick since we have Bears fans in the family (why? I don't understand it either).

Sweet Sweet Apples

Addy visited Grandma and Grandpa T. this week and here is one of the things they did:

She was so proud when I got there to pick her up. She had a bucket full of apples and was carrying it all around. She kept trying to bite into the apples and ended up dropping them again and again onto the floor - those are gonna be some bruised apples.

When we pull onto the street to go to my parents Addy starts chanting fun, fun, fun. It is so sweet. She always has a great time.
