Just Playing

I've been terribly sick the last week and a half, feeling absolutely the worst. Addison was quite the help, just playing with her toys so that I could get some rest and Daddy could take care of the house.

Checking out her dinasour toy:

Atlanta, Savannah, Hilton Head, Ears and Teeth

Sorry for the delay in posting! We got back last weekend from a 10 day trip across the country and are still working at getting caught up and back into the swing of real life.

For those that don't know . . . for a few months we've been planning a trip to Savannah, Georgia and Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. We used our Disney timeshare points to stay at Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort. My parents came along and we had a great time!

We were very apprehensive about traveling with Addison, and the first day saw many of our fears realized (not in the way you are probably thinking). It started out well, we got out of the house and to the airport without incident. When we were getting Addy out of the carseat to go through security we realized she has a diaper explosion that went all the way up her back to her neck and had gotten the carseat all wet. I took her into the bathroom and changed her and Scott took the carseat and stroller with him to get cleaned up. It was 9:30am, we weren't even through security and we were sweating.

We got on the plane and Little was sleeping - which was great for take off. But, when an oxygen mask wouldn't stay put, we had to taxi back to the terminal for assistance. So the hour long wait lasted just the length of Addy's nap. But alas, Addy was a sweet girl and didn't give us any problems. In fact, she didn't give us a single problem the entire flight. We were the last plane to make it into the Atlanta airport before a severe thunder and lightening storm shut everything down. So after an hour delay on the front end and a five hour flight we sat on the plane on the runway an additional 2 hours!!! We were laughing at the absurdity of it all. And still Addy was happy, smiley and a very good girl.

We finally got off the plane, got our car and headed to the hotel. This was when Addy had finally reached her limit and wailed like nobody's business all the way to the hotel . . . the hotel that didn't have any power because of the storm. This is when I reached by limit and I joined Addy in some wailing. :)

We found another hotel and finally got everyone to bed and we survived. As I was drifting off to sleep I was wondering to myself is this really "vacation", this is a lot of work!

Things went great from there. We got to tour around Savannah, spent a wonderful 6 days in Hilton Head with Grandma and Grandpa T. and all around enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Unfortunately Little got an ear infection toward the end and began cutting her top 4 . . . yes, 4 teeth. So the plane ride home was not quite as fun.

Here a just a couple pics from the trip. I am working on a slide show to post this weekend. So, stay-tuned.

What is the deal with the face Little?

Anyway, check back after this weekend for all the good shots. Take care!

What does Addy do all day?

One might ask this question . . . and now you have the answer.

Addy spends time playing with her favorite friends Gracie and Gavin. In this shot Addy is showing her love to Gracie by grabbing her hair and pulling. I think that shows considerable love!

Addy is learning the importance of sharing. She even lets Gizmo sit in her swing.

Addy doesn't just sit back and expect to be taken care of all the time. When there is important work to be done Addy is on the job, with her Bob the Builder goggles. Safety first!

And most importantly Addy gets her snuggle time with Gracie.

Every day is a great adventure!
