Finishing Up February

The months continue to fly by - here we are at the end of February. Addy is still struggling to roll over and one of the reasons she isn't yet is because with the dogs around we don't put her on the ground much. So, we got a huge play yard for Addy. We rearranged the front room and now she has her own play ground with toys and fun stuff all around. Here are a couple of shots from the last week or so:

Stanley and his parents (from a previous post) brought Little these great onsies. Ollie, Daisy and Cinnamon are quite honored by the shout out. Addy's now had a chance to break them in - lots of drool and formula. :)

Addy is very busy with many activities, but she still finds time to do the important things like sleep.

Here is Addy's play yard - Grandma T. and I are keeping Addy entertained! Cinnamon is holding down the fort by the fire.

Grandma T. helps Little with her toys.

Grandpa T. helps Addy keep an eye on things.

And most importantly Addy makes sure she's still got her ten toes . . . morning, noon and night. All accounted for . . . what a relief.

She takes this job very seriously. Sometimes she even does double duty . . .

New Friends!

My freshman year college roomie and her husband came down last weekend to visit. In a crazy twist of fate we delivered babies 12 days apart! Mardi and Gary brought Stanley down for a visit. Here are some shots from their visit.

Thanks for a great visit!

Mommy, Daddy and Me

These are some cute photos from the last couple of days.

This is from Valentine's Day . . . we got a special outfit for Addison to wear. She didn't make it through the whole day with it on, but at least she got a good start.

These are some great shots of Little and Daddy playing together:

Play Time

Addison went to her 4 month check up today (a couple weeks late) and got a great report from the doctor. She is 26 inches long and 16.6 pounds. She's solid! It is so cute - she was so long in length that it has taken a while for her to start filling out. She is now getting a little bit of a belly and her thighs are quite pudgy. Even her little stick arms are filled out - she's turning into a rolly-polly baby!

Every day that goes by I find myself amazed at this little miracle and what our lives are like now. Each night I can't put her to bed without staring at her for 5 minutes and kissing her over and over. :)

Here are some shots of her in her activity center, it is so funny to watch her faces. And a few shots of her with Ollie.

Little gets really wide-eyed and stares with her mouth hanging open when she gets in her activity center. She can now reach for things and sometimes she gets so excited she throws herself around in the seat.

Her mouth hangs open for so long that drool starts to fall out.

She smiles once in a while, but mostly she has the cutest look of awe and amazement on her face.

Ollie and the other dogs have to check things out, especially if Little starts squealing.

It isn't hard to tell when she reaches her overload point. She goes from happy to crying in about 30 seconds. She says "get me the heck outta here mom!"

The dogs continue to be very interested in this funny little baby. They love to lick her and smell her. Today Ollie snuggled up close to check things out. Addison was doing some checking out as well.

Then Ollie decided since I won't let him lick her mouth and hands, her forehead would have to do. Little didn't seem to mind.

Bears, Bears, Bears

We had a nice little break these last few days with a few of the kids gone. I called our kennel up last week and begged them to take the dogs on short notice - which they were able to do! Thank goodness, we were needing a break. 3 dogs, 2 cats and a baby is a bit much sometimes. It helps me get some perspective on how much I do love the dogs and that as hectic as life is . . . it wouldn't be home without them. :)

Addy has been visiting with some of the neighborhood bears lately. Check out her recent adventures:

Here are the promised 4 month bear photos.

Addy has been getting acquainted with her new friend the polar bear, and I mean getting REALLY acquainted.

4 is a good number!

Addy is 4 months already (I am behind on her bear photo for four months). She's just found her toes and she is obsessed with them. She also can't help but stick everything in her mouth - all the time! It must be exhausting to be so intently focused on these two things.

Here are some fun shots from the last few days.

Most of the time I am lazy and keep Little in sleepers, but Saturday she got all dressed up to hit the town.

Addy got some new toys to play with!

Addison is doing better with tummy time. She stays happy for a little while longer now.

Toys or Toes????? It is tough being a baby!
