Addy had her Christmas dance recital on Sunday. I wanted to make sure I got this up so a few folks that didn't get to attend got to see it. She looked adorable!
By that TV is Mason and Charlotte. They were watching their big sisters. Charlotte loves Mason and always copies everything he does.
Here's the video:

Simple and Fun
Sometimes its nice to be reminded that it doesn't take much to share good family time. All it takes is a stoll and my two favorite love bugs.
I was trying to get some video. Not sure if Charlotte was picking her nose or what. I was trying to get her to show that she can count one, two, three . . . and she impressed me. These girls have such a fun time.
And then we ended the night with some nigh ttime kids yoga. Adorable!

Tis the season
The rest of Thankgiving weekend was spent decorating, playing and having great family time. After middle of the night shopping on Friday it was time to decorate with the girls. Or I decorated while they played and worked.
This was Charlotte's idea of helping. She worked on lining up her toys on the stool and knock them off. Then took a break once in a while to climb on the stool.
It always amazes me that no matter what great decor I get for the holidays its the decorations of my childhood that make me smile the most!
I am really enjoying this one right now.
I don't know why I love this little guy so much. I love seeing him each year.
The girls loved the stacking boxes. I was glad I dug them out, although I am not sure they will last past this year.
Once they are stacked its time to push them down. The lids keep ripping and so I think they will be tossed when this is over. But meanwhile the girls are enjoying them.

Thanks
Every year I find myself with my heart full on Thanksgiving. I can think of many special reasons through the years for this and it does me good to reflect.
Look at this most lovely of days we got in November to give thanks this year:
This year was no exception and perhaps one of the most thankful of them all as we celebrated Thanksgiving. Never have I been so thankful to celebrate with my family.
Not a moment goes by that I don't appreciate these men in my life. Thankful for them!
Charlotte was ready to enjoy the fun!
Grandma took some time to play dolls with her girl.
There was lots of food to be cooked and eaten:
Biscuit enjoyed every moment of the day.
There was football to be watched and books to be read.
Getting ready to dig in!
And there was lots of dessert to be eaten after dinner:
And silliness to share with one another!
A mean (and never-ending) game of uno to be played:
And of course there was crazy shopping and decorating to round out the holiday weekend!

Mess
Scott had gallbladder surgery last week. It went well and he is recovering. But in the midst of managing the house with the patient I may have taken my eyes off the terror princess for a minute or five. It only takes moments . . .
I don't stand a chance, can you see that gleam in her eye?
Time for a bath . . .
There she goes, running to the tub like she runs everywhere. As soon as she got out she ran right out to the kitchen and peed on the floor before I got a diaper on her. Oh yeah! I got this covered!
