Dodge Ball

The first annual WSDOT Dodge Ball Tournament was Friday night! Scott, Addy and I were there to support our HR team! They did great. They were part of the biggest match of the night, when we faced down the Executive Team - and WON! It was the battle to end all battles.

Highlights include:

1. The outfits. Tam in short-shorts, Mark with a mullet, Jeff with the fro and tats, sponge bob shirts and mouth guards!!

2. Watching Jeff Carpenter charge the line and clothesline Pelton - priceless.

3. The HR Team soundly defeating the Execs.

4. The kids cheering on the team (and none of them got hit with a flying ball).

5. Everytime our team was up, they'd get on the court and do push-ups to intimidate the other team.

6. Seeing all the WSDOT staff and families come out for a great time.

7. Pelton getting the winning hit against the Execs.

8. Michaela, Mark and Amber all out there at one time or another by themselves, keeping us alive.

9. Carrie brings nilla wafers for the kids - that was a life saver.

10. Finding three day old french fries in my purse tonight, Addy had McDonalds fries on the way to the game, I found the rest of them in my purse just now. Yum!

The Big Bash

We had a very special weekend celebrating Addy's birthday. Saturday was party time. Thanks everyone that came and made it such a special day!! We are so honored to celebrate with you. And a special thanks to my parents and Niki who brought food and helped with the party. Here are some highlights:

Food - since I am a Todorovich, food is always a highlight. Daukas Special Breakfast and Todorovich bi-partisan hashbrowns and Niki's fruit dip - YEAH! Plus, yummy Elmo Cupcakes!

Pin the Nose on Elmo - we had an extremely competetive game. I won't name any names but some of the kids did a little cheating. Some were completely honest and some decided to do their own thing. Addy was creative - she said "knee" and somehow managed to put the nose right on Elmo's knee. I think that is very creative cheating and keeps the attention off. (As most of you know I love to cheat at games, so I was feeling very proud of this creative twist to cheating that Addy displayed. Scott was disgusted.) :)

Opening Presents - Litte got the concept and went for it this year. We didn't have any melt downs in the middle of opening gifts and she didn't do anything rude.

Elmo Cupcakes - I know I already mentioned food, but I made them myself and they were a hit with the kiddos, so I am happy and needed to post it. Now after every meal Addy calls out "Elmo cucake". Uh, that isn't going to happen. :)

We had so much fun and again thanks for all those that attended and celebrated with us in person, and thanks for all the well wishes for those that couldn't be here! It was a great weekend. We are so blessed.

Enjoy the show!

Happy B-day Little!

Little is 2!

In order to celebrate Addy's second birthday tomorrow, I have put together a slide show from this last year. It was a joy to work on it and go back through all the wonderful events of the last year. Addy has been such a blessing to us and our entire family. I hope you enjoy the show. We had a birthday party today that was very fun and heartwarming to have the chance to celebrate such a special occasion with great friends and family. Pictures of the bash will come soon.

Little - may you have a year full of exciting adventures knowing how much you are loved and cherished by your Mommy and Daddy!

We love you - Happy Birthday Little.

Plumbly's Perfect Paint

A couple of weeks ago Papa D, now called Plumbly by Little came to visit. He helped us with a ton of things around the house. We have gutter guards now!!!!! If you live in the NW you know this is a very good thing when the pine needles are around. Although the gutters were the more practical thing, the best thing Plumbly helped with was painting our bedroom. For 5 years we've had our room half painted blue (which doesn't match anything including the furniture or bedspread). These picture turned out terrible, I've tried twice to get better. But, at least I can show off the fact it is beautifully painted and done!!! It is a wonderful, rich, burnt orange. Think fall leaves and pumpkin pie .

Thanks Plumbly!

P.S. the name has not worn off, Addy still "calls" Plumbly almost every night on her little phone.

Party Party Party

We got to go to two birthday parties this last weekend. Addy had a ton of fun at both. We've been talking up her party this coming weekend, and I was glad she got a chance to go to her friend's parties to see what is it all about!

I forgot our camera for Ava's party. Which was beautiful and I wish I could share pictures. Happy Birthday Ava!! But I did remember it on Sunday for Tyson's party. We traveled out to Oakville for the party, what a beautiful drive and a gorgeous place. Addy loved running around the property, checking out the garden, the flowers and the horses.

She spent all day asking about Ty and Nana (her friends Tyson and Savannah). She was so happy to hang out with them.

Here is the party crew. Addy, Tyson, Savannah, Mommy Nicole and Mommy Stephanie.

Little with her party hat!

The birthday boy - check out the John Deere:

I love this picture of Savannah and the side sip. Didn't want to miss Tyson and the gifts, but couldn't put down the cup!

And of course Addy enjoyed the party food! (And Daddy enjoyed the MGD.)

You can't beat this beautiful location for a party.

Happy Birthday Tyson. Love you tons sweetie!

Hey, Its Addy!

I know its been a while since I posted a blog. I am very busy you know. Grandma and Grandpa T. just got back from vacation. They went on a big boat. When they got home they came over and gave me this Alaska hat. I wear it all around. Today I wore it to the store. Its fun to drop it over and over and make Mom and Dad pick it up.

(Mommy took the tags off before I wore it out, I was trying to get my gangsta thing on, but oh well.)

I also got these socks. They have a moose, and a boat and all this other stuff on them. They are almost as cool as my Hello Kitty socks.

Mommy and I decorated the house. It looks real spooky. I have pumpkins on the walls and little pumpkins I keep on my table.

I am in charge of the window decorations. I like to pull them off and rearrange them every day. Sometimes I crumple them up and I put them in my oven.

As you can see I have lots to do! Catch ya later gators!

Just a few pics

These are just some miscellaneous shots from the last couple weeks. We are doing well, we've been busy with work and activities. Some how the camera got hidden away. We'll have to get it back out!

We hung out with our friends Tyson, Nicole, Savannah and Stephanie at Charlie Safari's. Here is Addy on the slide:

Trust me, this is going to be so cool Savannah:
