Miss Char

Just for fun I wanted to post these.  Charlotte was in my favorite shirt that Addy used to wear way back when!

Piggy tails, smiles, Elmo and raiding Addy's craft drawer.  Its good times!

I love this first one, this is her I am so happy because I just did something funny face!

Such a cutie in her saggy pants!

Its a tough decision between watching Elmo and making a mess.

Strike a Pose

This girl loves to dress up.  Each day is a chance to do something different.  And went its time to take a photo she is ready with a pose and smile.

Charlotte's hair is still looking a bit crazy these days.  She's got a ways to go in the front, but the back is getting so long that I will probably have to get it cut.

Love it in the piggy tails.  This girl makes me laugh each day.  She always has something silly going on!

Not sure she'll actually go along with a haircut.  Now that I think about it, I am not sure I have the will to test it out!  Maybe the hair growing fairy will come and wave her wand over Charlotte's hair and I can avoid the haircut for a few more months!

In Between the Flu

In between flu bugs and recovery we started the first part of Addy's room.  Its time to update the room, paint and all.  That being said have I mentioned lately that I have two jobs?  No, seriously.  I have two jobs at work right now and so my life is a little insane.

Now back to the room redo.  I really hate doing a part of a project and not the whole thing, but reality is that is the way life rolls right now.  So, we got her new bed up.  She has her cousin coming to visit and so we wanted her bigger bed in place for that.  I will try to get a finished picture up here soon.  But for now you get the idea.  A queen bed for Addy courtesy of a floor model sale and great friends that gave us a bed frame set for free!!  Score.  And Addy thinks its about the best thing ever!

And on to this little pumpkim.  This girl is pure joy and temper tantrums all rolled into one irresistible package.

Each morning she gets up and brings her blanket out with her.  She'll check out whatever is on for a couple of minutes and then she's off to drag the blanket around.

Her hair is all time funny right now.  She has this fluffy comb over going on up top, no hair on the sides and long in the back - really long.  Cute in piggies for sure.

Charlotte likes to feed herself and she isn't real interested in bibs.  So, we change clothes a lot around here.

She'll use the silverware for about 3 minutes and then its time to move onto the hands.  And most of the time she'll toss the spoon or fork to the dogs and then cry when they start licking it.  Gotta love 18 months.

That is right - she got the stomach flu on her 18 month birthday!  (Look at that perfect mullet!!!)

And now she likes to torture us with climbing on the couch and running along it and coming to within inchs of falling.  Here is how she muscles up:

And when she's being good she will bounce around and sit down on the pillows.

But most of the time she's on the run.

Oh, this is soooooo cute!

Charlotte is so happy with herself!  She is so cute its hard to be too mad at her.  And there is Addy with her spaghetti ring around her mouth - I didn't notice that before!

Easter Time

Its always a safe bet that if you don't hear from me for a week or so, it means someone is sick.  Yup.  That is a good bet 99% of the time.  Charlotte started things off with a high fever and stomach flu on Thursday before Easter.  We got her well enough to enjoy Easter Sunday.  So happy for that!  But then on Monday Scott was down with the same stomach bug and by Tuesday I was out for the count too.  But in between all the stomach flu we had a great opportunity to celebrate Easter.

Addy and my Mom made this lovely bunny cake together.  We have pictures of me about the same age as Addy making this cake with my Mom.  What sweet memories.

I took a class on how to make homemade cinnamon rolls a couple weeks ago and put my lessons to the test for Easter.  I was busy whipping up a batch at 10:00pm at night!

Easter dawned beautiful.  Its hard to recall a more glorious morning for Easter.  It was definitely a special blessing for the day.

The Easter Bunny left some eggs in the front yard for the girls.  So they scrambled out in their pjs to check it out.

It took a few minutes but Charlotte got the hang of it.  She also liked picking up and throwing the eggs around.

The Easter Bunny is pretty great - he also brought matching jammies for the girls.  So, they did a quick wardrobe change.  And then it was time for their Easter baskets.  Charlotte zeroed in on the new cup I put in there and never looked back.  The morning was all about the new cup with a built in straw.

Addy is such a darling.  She was so patient, showing Charlotte each item in her basket.

Addy enjoyed her basket too!

Of course, we had to celebrate Grandpa's birthday too!!

I hope you all had a lovely Easter!
